Information on waste disposal
Waste oil is hazardous waste.
Improper disposal of waste oil endangers the environment! – The used oil therefore belongs in a used oil collection point.
According to the used oil regulation, when we sell combustion engine oil and oil filters to end users commercially, we are obliged to take back used oil and used oil filters in the quantity delivered.
The return of used oil (combustion engine oil)/oil filters to our point of sale is therefore possible free of charge in the quantity in which you purchased "new oil"/oil filters as shown on the invoice. The used oil (combustion engine oil) to be returned must in any case be of a pure type in accordance with the Used Oil Ordinance. This means that no prohibited mixing or admixture of other waste oils (e.g. transmission, hydraulic, turbine, compressor or other oils) may take place. Solvents, brake and coolant fluids may not be added either.
Please note:
- The disposal must be carried out during normal business hours.
- Proof of purchase (our invoice) must be presented.
For any return of such hazardous waste, please note:
- Waste oil or Used oil filters can only be returned in leak-proof and approved packaging.
- The shipment is sent as hazardous goods.
- A copy of the purchase receipt (our invoice) must be enclosed with the shipment.
Add sufficient postage to the return shipment and address it to the address of the invoice sender.
As a private consumer, you also have the option of disposing of used oil and oil filters at a local recycling center, a used oil collection point in your municipality or district, or at a mobile hazardous waste collection point. Since some local municipal cleaning companies and fire departments also have waste collection points, you can also dispose of small amounts of waste oil there properly as a self-changer.
If necessary, we can also give you the name of a waste collection point where you can dispose of your waste oil.
